I recently received the Elmo camera, the projector and the Mobile Presentation Workstand. They have provided a valuable teaching tool. I use it constantly. I have students who need extra help to become the “teachers” and help model the instruction using the Elmo. It gives them a chance to be spotlighted and the instruction is clearly presented. The Workstand makes it easier to show demos, especially science ones.
I was able to show the seeds in the pumpkin, and explain to them that we will plant them later. The Workstand makes it so convenient to use the Elmo camera and the projector. Before the Workstand, I had to rig up the camera and the projector on a cart and a table. It became very cumbersome and unstable. The Workstand is so much easier to use and move. It has made my instruction so much better.

Hello! Here is a lesson I just did today with my class on making fraction kits. I do this every year, and this year has by far been the easiest with the help of our Mobile Presentation Workstand (nicknamed "Cookie Monster") in our class! It was much easier to show the kids how to measure out, fold, and cut out their fractional parts with the help of the document camera and projector. Everyone was able to see my demonstration on our overhead screen much easier than if I were walking around the classroom trying to show them my strip.
Thank you, my class is excited to get our "Used Books" cover to trick anyone who wants to take our Cookie Monster away!
Thanks Again!

I used my new Mobile Presentation Workstand to teach a language arts lesson. The teacher’s guide gives the master of how to label a car, along with position words. For example; the engine is under the hood. In the past, I resorted to using an overhead, which the students had a hard time following. Using the document camera, and projector along with the Mobile Presentation Workstand allows the students to follow along with me.
Thank you so much!

I like to use the Mobile Presentation Workstand while putting up pages under the document camera from the workbook that we are going to complete as a class. I can call students to the Mobile Presentation Workstand one at a time to write in the answer and/or make changes to the workbook page right on the whiteboard.

Hello.
I use my Mobile Presentation Workstand in many ways. This was in conjunction with a poetry lesson/iMovie! My students are so much more engaged when we use the document camera and projector to bring lessons to life digitally! I am picking more tools on the internet and it's convenient to have the laptop at my fingertips on the Workstand’s pull drawer.
Thanks!

Hi,
I teach kindergarten, and we use a wide variety of manipulative objects (blocks, linker cubes, tiles, etc) to teach patterns and basic math. I used to try to demonstrate with a tray on my lap. Of course, when I held it up to show the class, everything would slide off! Then I had to try Velcro, magnets, rolled up tape etc. OR I had to demonstrate in small groups and show the same lesson 6 times, wasting valuable class time.
Now, I demo EVERYTHING on my Mobile Presentation Workstand! With 30 students, everyone can see and I don't have to adapt any materials.

I love my Mobile Presentation Workstand! I use it for just about every lesson. Something I did recently was use a Judy Clock to show how the hands move together. With the document camera, all kids could see as I explained and demonstrated. The Mobile Presentation Workstand, document camera, and projector are a valuable tool in my classroom. Thank you.

SecurityWorks,
I use my Mobile Presentation Workstand all day! My students even use it when they are doing their ³sharing² with the class. I really like using the document camera during my social studies lessons because I can put any materials that need to be discussed using the OEcamera¹ function up on the big screen. Then, with one easy click of a button I can turn on the corresponding DVD using my laptop that has already been cued up and ready to go using the OEcomputer¹ function. Thanks to the Mobile Presentation Workstand I do not have to waste time using multiple items in the class, pushing heavy equipment on a gigantic cart, or rearranging the class so that all can see. My lessons are both fun and engaging for the students as well as myself.
Thank you!

I have used the Mobile Presentation Workstand in many ways to enhance the learning experience for my students. I would like to share one particular area that the Workstand has been a consistent help:
In math, I have always introduced the lesson and had the kids try a few problems out. Not only is this good practice for them, but I can see who understands the content.
With the Mobile Presentation Workstand, this process has been even more effective. I will put a worksheet with several problems under the document camera, so that it projects against my whiteboard. By projecting it against the whiteboard, rather than the "pull-down screen," the kids can come up to the whiteboard on the Workstand and solve the problems from the workbook page. So, when the math problem appears on the whiteboard, the kids solve it using a whiteboard pen. Every kid wants to write on the whiteboard, and this gives them the incentive to comprehend the lesson, so that they can come up and write on the whiteboard. It's amazing how many volunteers I have! Several children can come up at a time to demonstrate their understanding of the content.

I LOVE my new Mobile Presentation Workstand!! I have used it for the following things: I hook up my laptop to the document camera and projector to show our monthly podcast, to show our classroom movies, to show movies from California Streaming and to demonstrate tech projects and directions before we head into our computer lab. I have used the document camera to show the steps for science lessons, student work, examples of how I want work completed. My class loves it!!
The pictures I have attached were from the measurement lesson that I just did with my class. First I hooked up my laptop to show a short clip from California Streaming about Customary Units. Then I showed them with one of our classroom rulers how to accurately measure something. Second graders often get mixed up when they use rulers to measure and begin measuring at the number one on the ruler, not at the start of the ruler. So using the document camera was a great way to show them several examples of how to line up a ruler to the item you wish to measure. It has eliminated that particular problem as my students could ALL easily see how to line up the ruler with the item.
The Mobile Presentation Workstand is a great tool for the classroom! I will be using it later this month for my students to share their power point presentations they have created in the computer lab. It will be the perfect tool for them to give a multi media presentation.
Thanks so much!

My name is Anmarie Dwyer and I am a fifth grade teacher at Montclaire Elementary. In the pictured lesson, students are learning about cells; how to distinguish plant cells from animals cells, and common features of each.
Utilizing the document camera mounted onto the Mobile Presentation Workstand is really useful for sharing information with the whole group. I also love using the LCD projector with my laptop to show students data from the web. During the Presidential Elections this year, students were able to watch primary returns live as states posted voting results.
We have used the projector across the curriculum areas in our classroom, including watching astronauts land and broadcast from the space station during our space unit. The Mobile Workstand gives us the capability to bring these resources to all the students in our classroom!
Thanks you very much,
Mrs. Dwyer

I am a teacher at Skylark Elementary in Garden Grove and just received the Mobile Presentation Workstand to use as an instructional aide in my classroom. The Workstand has many purposeful uses and has been a great addition to my class. I teach 1st grade and the students are very intrigued and excited when the Workstand is used. There are many ways the Workstand is utilized, but one helpful way I use it is during math time. I just got my Workstand a week ago and I use it everyday for math.
Instead of spending time making copies and wasting trees and paper and even transparencies, I can now just put the math book or workbook down on the Workstand and have it projected. The kids are so intrigued that it also projects color because they are used to the old overhead projector and black and white. I can now just work straight out of the math book and show them answers instead of checking books one by one or writing down every answer on the overhead or whiteboard. The new technology is such a fantastic time saver. The students are more engaged and more willing to participate. The Workstand is very helpful and will continue to be an aide in my instruction and future lessons.
Thanks again.

There are many ways the Workstand is utilized, but one helpful way I use it is when we have practice and reading strategy pages. Now, instead of making tons of copies and "wasting paper and trees" I can now just project one paper from the Workstand. I don't even need to make a transparency like before when using the old overhead projector.
The most recent lesson was making predictions for a story we read about "Two Greedy Bears". The students read the mini-story using the document camera and were able to talk with their partner about predictions instead of messing with papers and pencils and other distractions. The students are more engaged and more willing to participate.
The Workstand is very easy to work with. It is light weight and I can move it around the classroom with ease. It is very durable and all of the equipment is secure. The locking system is very secure and it’s nice that I can keep it locked and also move it to where I can use it. Thanks again for this Workstand and technology. It is going to be of great use in our classroom and will keep me organized and my students engaged.

Hello, my name is Esther Oh and I teach 1st grade at Clinton Elementary. I find the Workstand very useful since I can use my laptop and document camera simultaneously on it. During my lesson I can easily make the transition from watching educational video clips from Discovery Streaming to projecting student work on the document camera. I like the fact that the Workstand has speakers attached to the stand.
The picture on the left shows students making the number ten using unifix cubes after watching an educational video clip about number sense. The picture on the right, a student’s work on adjective is projected on the screen. Students have to guess the food that is being described.

I am a teacher at Skylark Elementary in Garden Grove and just received the Mobile Presentation Workstand to use as an instructional aide in my classroom. The Workstand with the Document camera has many purposeful uses and has been a great addition to my class.
I teach 1st grade and the students are very intrigued and excited when the Workstand is used. There are many ways the document camera and Workstand are utilized, but one helpful way I use them is when we are going over our high frequency and theme words. I used to have to write them on the white board (30-40 words) at a time and it would be very time consuming. Now due to the document camera I can put them right on to the base and the words are projected. With ease we can now blend these words quickly and do multiple pages at a time. The students are more engaged and more willing to participate. The Mobile Presentation Workstand is very helpful and will continue to be an aide in my instruction and future lessons.

Here is a lesson I taught using my Mobile Presentation Workstand, a piece of yellow construction paper, and rainbow tiles. I showed my first graders to use the rainbow tiles that were an inch long to make an inch ruler. Using the document camera made this lesson very easy to teach.
For Open House I played a photo slide-show of my first graders using the Mobile Presentation Workstand Bundle to display it. The parents and students loved it! It was the best part of Open House. Thank you!

My name is Janny Hung and I am a fourth and fifth grade teacher at Montclaire Elementary School. In the pictured lesson, students were getting ready to plant seeds into their terrariums. The document camera served as an effective tool to carry out the instruction since it allowed students to see what types of seeds they would be getting. We were also able to use the zoom on the document camera to zoom in on the seeds to allow for a closer view of them.
Also, the Workstand from SecurityWorks is the perfect way to mount all the equipment I use in class. The Workstand is sturdy and mobile and it locks down my document camera, projector and laptop.

Here is a lesson I taught on fractions and probability using my Mobile Presentation Workstand. I started off telling the students that there were 10 pieces of candy in a bag. One linker cube represented one candy in the bag; blue was blueberry candy and red was strawberry. One at a time I removed a linker cube and put it on the overhead. Once all were removed, we counted how many blueberry and how many strawberry candies were in the bag in fractional terms. Since, there were more reds in the bag, the probability of pulling a strawberry candy was higher than blueberry.

I just received the Mobile Presentation Workstand to use as an instructional aide in my classroom. The Workstand has many purposeful uses and has been a great addition to my class. I teach 1st Grade and the students are very intrigued and excited when the Workstand is used. There are many ways the Workstand is utilized, but one helpful way I use it is during reading time. I just got my Workstand a week ago and I use it everyday for reading. Instead of spending time passing out books to 25 students and helping many find the right page, I can now just put the book right down on the Workstand and have it projected via the document camera. The kids think it is so cool that it is in color too because they are used to our old overhead projector in which you have to make a transparency and is black and white. The Document camera is such a fantastic time saver.
Also, the students are more engaged and more willing to participate because it is big enough that I can call on students to read too. They are all looking up front and not playing in the desk, not on the right page etc. I am so excited about this Workstand and am so thankful for this new technology. The Workstand and the new technology are very helpful and will continue to be an aide in my instruction and future lessons.
The Workstand is also a great thing because it is very secure and "steal proof". The security cord is long enough where I can keep it locked to my desk and still reach where I need to go. The Workstand is easily maneuvered and is durable. Also, I like that I can keep some paper in the basket without it being big enough to get unorganized. It is durable and lightweight and is big enough to hold multiple things. Thanks again for this wonderful product.

In this lesson, I was teaching the children to blend, read, and fill out their sentences correctly. They had to sound out the cvc words and "read" them. Then they had to read the sentences and choose the word that makes sense. The children are able to "see" (before it was very small and not all students could see the paper) and watch/learn how to figure out which word goes in the right sentence. Then I can teach them how to read the whole sentence, not just one word at a time (like a robot). Also, this is a great way to demonstrate how to write the letters correctly (penmanship).
Honestly, the Mobile Presentation Workstand allows me to teach them while I can see them and every child in the class can see the practice page. The children who don't speak English can see and learn the language without getting frustrated trying to figure it out on their own or walking to the front of the room to see the worksheet and go back and write the answer.

I LOVE my Mobile Presentation Workstand and use it consistently throughout the day to enhance my teaching. My lessons become easier for my students to understand with its help. We recently completed a measuring unit lesson. Students were able to grab items from around the classroom and show on the document camera how to measure them.
It allowed my students to have concrete examples of items instead of measuring the paper version. They loved this opportunity to share their learning with the class.

I am a huge fan of Document camera and the Mobile Presentation Workstand! I have been teaching for over 10 years and this machine has made teaching fun and more efficient. Overheads and extra copies are a thing of the past! This new technology is not only easy to use, but it definitely enhances students’ ability to follow instruction in a way that is comprehensible to them. Furthermore, you can easily attach your laptop for presentations, videos and other visuals. I would recommend this machine to any teacher!
The lesson shown here was a Language Arts lesson on reading table of contents. I used the Document camera to display a sample as the students followed along to find the different components to this page.

The Document camera and Mobile Presentation Workstand have made instruction so much easier for both the students and me. Not only is it user-friendly but it makes presenting information easier and more engaging for all of us!
We used our Mobile Presentation Workstand during our reading comprehension time to help find the clue in the text that would help the students in making predictions in a story.

I'm a third grade teacher and I’m delighted with my technology bundle consisting of an Elmo document camera, Hitachi projector and Workstand. The new equipment has not only encouraged all students to participate in my lessons, but it has also saved a lot of plastic by not using transparencies and has made my lessons come alive. The Mobile Presentation Workstand makes it very easy to connect everything to my computer, allowing me to show short video clips on a subject or help students with additional research on a topic. I can't imagine teaching without this Workstand and the equipment it supports.
